How Easy Cleanouts Went From 17% to Nearly 50% AI Search Visibility, and Became the Only Brand AI Names in Its Market

The Challenge

Easy Cleanouts LLC wasn't starting from zero on reputation. Fourteen-plus years in Springfield, Missouri, 380+ customers served, a 4.9-star rating across 146+ Google reviews, BBB accredited. But the website hadn't caught up to the reputation. There was no dedicated page for most of the services they actually offered, no hoarder cleanout page, no eviction cleanout page, no foreclosure or probate cleanout page, just a general services listing. And under the hood, the technical foundation was missing too: no schema markup at all, not LocalBusiness, not FAQ, nothing telling search engines or AI models what this business actually was and did.

None of that reputation had made it into AI search yet. Nine months ago, Easy Cleanouts sat at just 17% AI visibility share for the prompts that mattered in their market, a real presence, but nowhere close to what 14 years of local trust should have earned them. AI models weren't reading signals that didn't exist on the site yet.

The Solution

The reputation and reviews were already there. What was missing was the website infrastructure and technical foundation to translate that reputation into something search engines and AI models could actually read.

Local service SEO first

Junk removal is hyper-local. We tightened Google Business Profile optimization, citation consistency, and local content, work that drives the map pack and doubles as the trust signal AI models look for when deciding who's actually local and legitimate.

Built out the service page library

Easy Cleanouts had a general services page, not much else. We built dedicated pages for the specific, high-intent services they actually perform: hoarder property cleanouts, eviction cleanouts, foreclosed and probate property cleanouts, disaster cleanup, and more. Each one exists so both search engines and AI models can point to a specific answer instead of a vague catch-all.The real unlock was building content that put OR Home Buyers directly in the conversation next to the national names people were already asking about. Rather than only publishing generic "sell your house fast" content, we built pages that directly answered the comparison questions people were actually asking AI models:

Technical schema implementation

There was no schema markup anywhere on the site. We added LocalBusiness schema, FAQ schema, and service-level markup across the new and existing pages, the structured data that tells search engines and AI models exactly who this business is, where it operates, and what it does.

AEO-focused blog content

Using prompt research (the AEO equivalent of keyword research), we identified real questions people were asking and built direct-answer content around them, guides like probate property cleanouts: rules, timeline, and who pays and hoarder house cleanouts: costs, timeline, what to expect. Q&A-style content like this is one of the clearest paths to being the answer an AI model gives, and to ranking organically at the same time.

Video and third-party trust signals

AI models weigh trust heavily, and the strongest trust signals usually come from outside a company's own site. We integrated video content across the site and social, and leaned into real third-party validation already in motion, including Easy Cleanouts' community partnership work with Crosslines Community Outreach.

The Results

17% → 49.4% AI search visibility over 9 months, nearly a 3x increase100% share of voice, no competing junk removal brand name appears anywhere in tracked AI search conversations for this market

100% share of voice, no competing junk removal brand name appears anywhere in tracked AI search conversations for this marketv

2.05 citations per retrieval, the highest citation rate of any domain tracked in the market

Easy Cleanouts didn't just improve its AI visibility, it became the only named brand in the conversation. Fourteen years of local reputation finally translated into the channel that's increasingly deciding who gets found first.

Traditional search moved tooThe content built for AEO didn't just perform in AI search. Comparing the most recent 3 months to the 3 months before:

+98% organic clicks (300 → 595)

+72% organic impressions (56.2K → 96.6K)

Two of the AEO blog posts alone, the probate cleanout guide and the hoarder cleanout guide, have pulled in 13.7K and 12K impressions respectively since publishing, proof that answer-first content built for AI models performs just as well in traditional search.

Conclusion

A strong local reputation doesn't automatically transfer to AI search, it has to be translated into content AI models can actually read and trust.

Nine months of consistent AEO and local SEO work took Easy Cleanouts from a real but modest AI presence to the only brand AI models name in their market.

Being the only brand named in a market's AI conversations is a bigger moat than ranking #1 on a search results page ever was.
